I’ve dined at this restaurant plenty of times and the food is absolutely great! The portions are big and the prices are reasonable.
However, there was a day when they were extremely short-staffed. The kitchen staff had to help serve the food, while cooking. (They were polite.) The cook served my appetizers and, as she placed my plate onto the table, I noticed her hands were covered in band-aids, LITERALLY. I didn’t think too much of it, until I took a bite into my food and saw one of the used band-aids mingling with my lettuce garnishes. My boyfriend and I didn’t cause a scene, but did notify the waitress–who brought the food to the kitchen. We heard the restaurant owner get upset with the kitchen staff. Another appetizer was brought out to my boyfriend and I. It was given to us for free and then we received a TWO DOLLAR discount from our tab. I think I just should have caused a scene and walked out, but I was hungry! Seriously, though. Two bucks from the tab? That’s it? Haven’t been back there since!
