Rainbow Restaurant & Catering

I've eaten here since high school and really love most everything about it with the exception of one little thing: the service. The wait staff can be rude and awful. They are often impolite to people who don't know much about veg food and ask questions---I've seen this with my own eyes and I can't stand it. I've actually gone over to peoples tables after their nasty waitress left and answered their questions and helped them order. The staff just seems sooooo laid back and uninterested in getting you your food quickly and if you bother them with requests for ketchup or ask where your food is they act like you're asking them to help you move or something. So Rainbow, you're a great place with a bangin' menu, but you've got to do something about the angry stoners serving your customers! The attitude is unnecessary.

One entree arrived immediately, but it was cold. The othe entree arrived 20 minutes later- also cold. The server could NOT be bothered with service. We walked out and will not return.

I can think of few places I would rather spend a lunch hour, enjoying the sunshine and fresh air. The restaurant is wholly inviting, set up in a quaint house and garden style. The staff are friendly and engaging and they serve the kind of food that forces you to take note of and appreciate the flavors. I've been to Rainbow three times now and I'm sure I'll visit again. My only complaint was that it took a while for the food to be served, so what was supposed to be a 45 minute lunch was extended by about twenty five minutes. If shortening the time would lead to loss of taste, though, I would rather adapt my lunch hour planning.
