One of the most well prepared Ribeye steaks I’ve ever eaten. The restaurant atmosphere is a cross between nice-sit-down and southwestern saloon. The service was decent. The menu was substantial. The food was both surprising and good. The salads unexpectedly had chex-mix on top. Strange, but it worked and was surprisingly good! The ribeye was served with a hefty slice of perfectly ripe Cantelope. Again, a surprise but it paired extremely well. The steak was perfectly crisp on the outside but without any carbon flavor or ashy consistency. Wonderfully flavorful and juicy, it was exactly medium as i had requested One of the best prepared steaks I’ve had anywhere in the world. Great job! Great steak!

The Charco Broiler has been around here for a long time, and they are famous for their bar called “The Rear of the Steer” which is really just a regular bar, but nice name. They have good steaks, and a very rustic/western type atmosphere, pretty dark and somewhat close quarters. It is almost a throwback to the 70′s style dining, but enjoyable non-the-less. One weird thing about this place, they put Chexs Mix cereal in their salads instead of croutons, that always stands out in my mind for some reason. If you like pepper steak they have a good one.
